TEHRAN - TEDPIX, the main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), dropped 17,374 points (0.83 percent) to 2,067,159 on Sunday, to continue the current week’s downward trend.

TSE is one of the four Iranian stock exchanges, and the most important one. The other three ones are Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX), and Iran’s over-the-counter (OTC) market, known as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB).

Ehsan Asgari, a stock market analyst, said that the government’s measures for reducing the risks of trade in the capital market can help improve the market’s trend in the long term.

“Now, in the stock market, we are witnessing a reduction in the risks threatening stock market transactions, which can have an impact on the improvement of market trend,” Asgari told in mid-August.
