Free Zones High Council calls for improving inspection patterns, judicial affairs in FTZs

TEHRAN – The secretary of the Iranian Free Zones High Council has called on the Justice Minister to improve inspection patterns and judicial affairs in the country’s Free Trade Zones (FTZs), the news portal of the country’s free and special trade zones (Freena) reported.

During a meeting with Justice Minister Amin-Hossein Rahimi, Hojatollah Abdolmaleki underlined the important role of the free zones in the country’s economy and explained some of the existing capacities in free and special economic zones.

According to Abdolmaleki, the main focus of the Free Zones High Council during his tenure is to boost investment in the country’s FTZs.

In this meeting, the Minister of Justice for his part emphasized the importance of free and special economic zones in the economic development of the country and stressed the need to take the necessary measures for increasing investment and exports in these zones.

“The Ministry of Justice is ready to support export and investment in these areas,” Rahimi said.

In the meeting, it was decided to take necessary planning and measures to facilitate the legal conditions in the free zones and especially to facilitate the protection of the lands under the authority of the Free Zones Organization.
