TEHRAN - Head of the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) Mehdi Eslam-Panah has expressed the country’s readiness to expand cooperation with the International Standard Organization (ISO), IRIB reported.

Eslam-Panah made the remarks in a meeting with ISO Secretary-General Sergio Mujica on the sidelines of the organization’s annual assembly which was held during September 18-22 in Brisbane, Australia.

In this meeting, Mujica praised the active participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in specialized meetings of ISO and expressed hope that technical cooperation and the presence of experts from the ISIRI in the ISO technical committees will continue.

Eslam-Panah also invited the ISO Secretary General to visit Iran and participate in a ceremony that is going to be held on the occasion of Standard Day and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the ISIRI. The invitation was welcomed and appreciated by Mujica.
