TEHRAN – Iran were defeated by India 3-0 in AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers Round 2 on Saturday.

Sulanja Raul starred with a hat-trick as India concluded their AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024 Qualifiers Round 2 campaign with a 3-0 win over of Iran on Saturday.

The victory meant India finished third in Group A, with Korea Republic and Thailand, to meet later on Saturday to decide the group winners.

Iran had previously lost to Thailand and Korea.

Korea Republic, Thailand and Australia, who confirmed a top two spot in Group B with a match to spare, join the three highest-seeded sides from the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 – current holders Japan, DPR Korea and China PR - and hosts Indonesia in the Finals. 

 The remaining spot will be decided on Sunday when Vietnam and Philippines meet.
