TEHRAN – Persepolis football team iconic midfielder Vahid Amiri will be out for four weeks due to a foot injury he sustained at the 2023/24 AFC Champions League.

On Tuesday, the Iranian team lost to Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia 2-0 at the Azadi Stadium.

MRI scan revealed that he has suffered a tear in his hamstring.

Amiri will miss the match against Al Duhail of Qatar in Group H, which has been scheduled for Oct. 2 at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha.

Mehdi Torabi and Milad Sarlak also suffered injury against Al Nassr and will likely miss the match.
