Iran learn fate at FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers
TEHRAN – Iran basketball team learned their fate at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers following the Qualifiers Draw completion, Tuesday evening at the Ezdan Palace Hotel in the Qatari capital.
Iran are pooled with Qatar, Kazakhstan and India in Group E.
Similar to the previous cycle, the 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups of 4. Each team plays the other 3 teams on a home-and-away basis over 3 windows, with 2 games per window.
The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, making a total of 12 teams.
The six 3rd-place teams from each group, meanwhile, qualify to play in a final qualifying tournament. The top 4 teams from this tilt will qualify for the quadrennial continental conclave.
The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers' opening window is in February 2024.

Group A: Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia
Group B: Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, the Philippines, New Zealand
Group C: China, Japan, Guam, Mongolia
Group D: Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia
Group E: Iran, Qatar, Kazakhstan, India
Group F: Bahrain, Syria, Lebanon, the UAE
