International illustration exhibition on peace to be held at IAF
TEHRAN-The Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran will host an international illustration exhibition with the theme of peace, from September 22 to 29.
The artists invited to participate in the expo have been selected among those whose names were published in the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) Honor List 2020, ISNA reported on Saturday.
The IBBY Honor List is a biennial selection of outstanding, recently published books, honoring writers, illustrators and translators from IBBY member countries. The IBBY Honor List is one of the most widespread and effective ways of furthering IBBY's objective of encouraging international understanding through children's literature.
“Peace with Human,”' “Peace with Nature,” “Peace with Animals,” and “Peace with the World” are the sub-themes of the exhibition in which artist from 15 countries will present their works.
The Winter Gallery of the IAF will display works of artists from Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand, Austria, Estonia, Australia, Denmark, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Slovakia, Peru, Chile and Indonesia at the exhibition.
The IBBY is a non-profit organization which represents an international network of people from all over the world who are committed to bringing books and children together.
Founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1953, the IBBY is now composed of 80 National Sections all over the world. It represents countries with well-developed book publishing and literacy programs, and other countries with only a few dedicated professionals who are doing pioneer work in children's book publishing and promotion.
The Iranian Artists Forum is situated at Artists Park on North Mousavi Street, Taleqani Street.
