Gilgamesh is the oldest epic and literary work in the world. The oldest written part of it dates back to the second millennium BC, but its history dates back to three thousand years BC. The Gilgamesh saga best describes human destiny in search of immortality. Gilgamesh, the famous hero of Uruk, a city in the land of the Sumerians in Mesopotamia, who has a semi-divine-semi-human character, strives for immortality for a lifetime and fails many times but eventually finds a plant that immortalizes him; however, a snake steals the plant from him and this is when all his life-time achievement is lost
The Sugar Loaf Film Festival’s mission is to highlight and celebrate the work of emerging filmmakers creating films and documentaries on both local and international platforms.
The IIDCYA is an Iranian institution with a wide range of cultural and artistic activities in the field of mental and cultural development for children and young adults including books, toys, animations, and films.
