TEHRAN- Jiu-Jitsu is a Japanese martial art with a history dating back at least five centuries. This interesting and creative method of combat is used when facing an armored opponent, where a direct attack not only yields no results but also causes harm to oneself. Jiu-Jitsu teaches you how to use your opponent’s strength against themselves.

Due to its effectiveness and strategic approach, this martial art has also entered the world of politics. For example, Gene Sharp, the theoretical father of soft coups or so-called non-violent movements, has a section in his guidelines called “Political Jiu-Jitsu.”

The leader of the Islamic Revolution mentioned the “hybrid warfare” that the enemy is waging against the Islamic Republic in his annual speech in Mashhad and referred to some of its dimensions. “They tempt people, and they distort the truth Their goal is to weaken the determination of the nation. They want to get rid of people’s hopes. Their goal is to extinguish the flames of hope in the hearts of our youth. They want to create despair in the youth.

Despair means reaching a dead end. When young person loses hope to make progress, when they lose hope in the future, they feel as though they have reached a dead end. You cannot expect a person who feels deadlocked to work properly. They want to spread discord. They want to create bipolarity in the country. They want to take the real software of the country’s national power from the hands of the nation and make it ineffective. This software consists of people’s faith, people’s religious values, people’s national values, people’s beliefs. When they do these things, they seek to create instability and insecurity in the country or, if they can, even (launch) a civil war. However, they have and they always will hit a brick wall! "

The enemies of Iran use various techniques and tactics in their hybrid warfare, but it seems that Jiu-Jitsu has a special role among these techniques. The enemy has properly realized that military confrontation with Iran is not possible because it is costly and does not yield the desired results. Therefore, the best way is to use the strengths of the system against itself. This is where attacking values and beliefs comes into play. Values and beliefs that are at the center of Iranian society’s strengths are attacked in various ways to be introduced as problems and obstacles. Realities are reversed, and heralds of truth face character assassination. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is at the top of this assassination list.

Fighting in such a field is not easy and does not only require courage and sacrifice. Above all, one must be intelligent. The enemy tries to confuse you in a way that makes you angry, have minimal control over your movements, and even harm yourself. Keeping calm, having an accurate assessment of the scene, making decisive and timely decisions and actions are key to victory in this war.
