Iran’s Simorgh ready to fly
TEHRAN - Head of the Iran Aviation Industries Organization (IAIO), General Afshin Khajeh Fard, has announced that Iran will become a powerhouse in producing passenger aircraft in the coming 3 years, adding that the Simorgh light transport aircraft has underwent changes to become a taxi and is ready to lift off.
According to ISNA, citing the Ministry of Defense, General Khajeh Fard pointed out that “whenever Iran paid special attention to the development of technology, it clinched a victory.”
Given the preparation process of the Simorgh aircraft, the CEO of the Aviation Industries Organization underscored that “the Simorgh aircraft, which was unveiled in May, has finalized its transformational process to become a taxi that is well prepared for flight.”
