TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian convened a meeting with Iranian ambassadors and consul-generals to Europe underlining the need to advance Iran’s foreign policy goals.

He called on the country’s ambassadors in European states to double up efforts for the materialization of the administration’s foreign policy objectives amid international challenges, according to Tasnim.

The meeting was held on Monday night via videoconference.

Amir Abdollahian called on the Iranian diplomatic missions in the foreign countries to push for the materialization of the Iranian administration’s foreign policy strategy, namely the “balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy, and smart interaction”, amid international challenges.

The Iranian foreign minister noted that addressing the challenges requires “active, strong and effective” activism by the Iranian diplomatic missions for the fulfillment of the Islamic Republic’s interests.

He further described Iranian nationals residing in Europe as the country’s major asset, stressing the need to improve the services provided for the expatriates in Europe.

Amir Abdollahian has been following the work of Iranian ambassadors and diplomats over the last week. Iranian Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Homayra Rigi met with Amir Abdollahian on Saturday to report on the working plans of the embassy to enhance the relations of the two Islamic countries and on the performance of the mission in the different political, economic, scientific, university, and public diplomacy fields with the goal of improving people-to-people ties.

During this meeting, Amir Abdollahian emphasized the Raisi administration’s foreign policy, which is based on a balanced and dynamic diplomacy, smart interaction, and the importance of improving ties with Islamic countries, and gave the necessary instructions to the ambassador for the enhancement of relations with Brunei Darussalam and the advancement of regional policies.
