TEHRAN – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Thursday called on U.S. President Joe Biden to stop “hypocrisy,” saying the Biden administration is seeking a nuclear agreement with Iran but at the same time openly backs terrorism and violence in Iran.

The remarks by Amir Abdollahian come as Iran is grappling with Western-backed riots.

The foreign minister added hypocrisy by Biden is shown in his administration’s support for terrorist groups, including ISIS (Daesh).

“Simultaneous with open support for violence & terror during recent riots in Iran, WH is reaching out for an agreement. Mr. Biden: end this hypocrisy—incl support for terror & ISIS,” Amir Abdollahian tweeted in English.

The tweet by the foreign minister was published one day before Iran marked the seizure of the U.S. embassy in Tehran in November 1979.

In open meddlesome remarks on Thursday, Biden claimed to "free" Iran, Reuters reported.

"Don't worry, we're gonna free Iran. They’re gonna free themselves pretty soon," Biden said during a wide-ranging campaign speech in California.
