Omani FM calls Iranian counterpart, denounces terrorist act in Shiraz
TEHRAN - The terrorist assault in the Iranian city of Shiraz on Wednesday was denounced by the foreign minister of Oman and his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and Amir Abdollahian censured the terrorist attack over the phone on Thursday.
The Omani minister sent the Iranian people and government as well as the bereaved families a message of condolence from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
The incident had previously been denounced by the Omani Foreign Ministry in a statement posted to its website.
Two children were among the 15 victims of the tragedy when a shooter opened fire on worshippers gathered outside the shrine of Shah Cheragh.
The terrorist group Daesh assumed the responsibility for the heinous act.
