President Izetbegovic Invited to Visit Iran

SARAJEVO Iran's Ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Seyed Homayoun Air-Khalili here Friday met with the Bosnian President and Chairman of the Presidency Alija Izetbegovic. In the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the bilateral relations, present status of the Balkan region and the Iranian place in the international fora. The Iranian ambassador then referred to the upcoming visit of the Bosnian president to some of the Muslim countries including the Islamic Republic of Iran and told Izetbegovic that he has been officially invited to visit Iran on the occasion marking 100th birth anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini, the father of Islamic Revolution and founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. President Izetbegovic is expected to visit Turkey, Kuwait, Iran and Saudi Arabia late in September. (IRNA)
