TEHRAN -- Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on Tuesday welcomed a call by Saudi Prince Abdullah on the demilitarization of the Middle East region. Kharrazi described Amir Abdullah's remarks as "well-grounded" and said a nuclear-free Middle East is among the top priorities in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran at regional and international level. "The remark made by the Saudi prince is indicative of the fact that time is now ripe for Iran and Arab countries to multiply their efforts to materialize this ideal," Iran's foreign minister stressed.
