Al Sadd ready for revenge on Persepolis: Jesualdo Ferreira
TEHRAN – Al Sadd coach Jesualdo Ferreira says that they will have a difficult task against Persepolis but they want to revenge against them.
Al Sadd will host the AFC Champions League finalists in Group D at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.
The Qatari giants will be desperate to avenge last year’s semi-final defeat to Persepolis, where they were edged out 2-1 on aggregate in the 2018 ACL semi-final after the teams had also shared a win apiece in the group stage.
“We know that we have a difficult task against Persepolis. After suffering a defeat to Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia, we look to get back on track. It will be tough match but we are ready to win the game,” Ferreira said in the pre-match news conference.
“Al Sadd have no suspended or injured players for this match. However, we have to wait for the match and will see what happens,” the Portuguese coach added.
“We lost to Persepolis in the last year’s semis and now are motivated to beat them. We expect our fans to help us against Persepolis,” Ferreira sated.
