TEHRAN – An official has voiced Iran’s readiness to send medicine and medical equipment to Venezuela, which has been gripped by mounting economic and political tensions in recent months, Tasnim reported on Sunday.
Ira’s Food and Drug Administration director, Mahdi Pirsalehi, said his organization is prepared to send medicine and medical equipment to Venezuela and provide the Latin American nation with the technical know-how in the medical sector under a mutual agreement signed in 2018.
Pirsalehi made the comments at a meeting in Tehran with Venezuela’s deputy foreign minister and its ambassador to Iran on Sunday.
