37th Fajr Film Festival wraps up

TEHRAN – The 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival came to an end today by honoring winners at Tehran’s Milad Tower.

Twenty-two movies went on screen in the official competition of the festival. 

Narges Abyar’s “The Night When the Moon Was Full” led the nominations with 13 nods. It was followed by “Blood Trap” by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian and “Gholamreza Takhti” by Bahram Tavakkoli with 11 and 10 nominations respectively. 

A jury composed of filmmakers Mohammad-Ali Bashe Ahangar, Mohammad Bozorgnia, Puran Derakhshandeh and Mohammad Ehsani, cinematographer Mahmud Kalari, film critic Mehrzad Danesh and actress Rima Raminfar judged the movies.
