TEHRAN - Syrian Deputy Defense Minister Mahmoud al-Shawa has said that Iran and Syria will boost their ties.
“Cooperation and relations between Iran and Syria are not new and date back to Iran’s Islamic Revolution,” he told IRNA in an interview published on Monday.
Good planning has been made to expand relations, he noted.
Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami met on Monday with Shawa in Tehran. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the International Conference on Defense and Security in West Asia, which kicked off in Tehran on Monday morning.
