Zarif leaves Tehran for New Delhi

TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif left Tehran for New Delhi on Monday, as part of efforts to boost relations between the two countries in various areas, the economy in particular.

Accompanied by a high-ranking political and economic delegation, Zarif is slated to hold talks with senior Indian officials, including Foreign Minister Sushma Swara.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said senior executives from state and private entrepreneurship companies will accompany Zarif on the three-day visit, the Foreign Ministry website reported.

Zarif will also attend the annual international conference of the Raisina Dialogue, Qassemi added.
