Iran’s 10-month crude steel production rises 19% yr/yr: WSA

TEHRAN- Production of crude steel in Iran stood at 20.59 million tons during the first ten months of 2018, indicating 19 percent rise from 17.303 million tons in the same period of time in 2017, according to the latest data released by the World Steel Association (WSA).
The WSA data put the world’s steel producers’ output at 1.502 billion tons during the ten-month period of this year, indicating 4.7 percent growth from the same time span of the past year.
The WSA also put Iran’s crude steel output at 2.07 million tons in October of this year, with a 10.6-percent rise from October of 2017.
