Saeid Alihosseini misses 2018 IWF World Championships

TEHRAN – Iranian super heavyweight weightlifter Saeid Alihosseini will be missing the 2018 IWF World Championships due to injury.
Iran weightlifting coach Mohammad Hossein Barkhah has confirmed the absence of Alihosseini in the prestigious competition.
Behdad Salimi, another Iranian super heavyweight weightlifter, announced his retirement after winning a gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games in late August.
Alihosseini won a silver medal in that competition held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The 2018 IWF World Championships will be held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan from Nov. 1 to 11.
In the previous edition which was held in Anaheim, United States, Iran finished in second place with two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
