TEHRAN - Rouhollah Rostami from Iran claimed a silver medal at the Asia-Oceania Open Powerlifting Championships on Monday.

The Iranian powerlifter finished in second place after lifting 211kg at the Men's Up to 72kg.

Rasool Mohsin from Iraq claimed the gold medal by lifting 219kg.

The bronze medal went to Peng Hu from China with 211kg.

On Sunday, Yousef Yousefi Pashaki from Iran had won a silver medal at the under-59kg division, in the competitions underway in Kitakyushu, Japan.
