TEHRAN- Iran exported $76.5 million of saffron during the first quarter of current Iranian calendar year (March 21-June 21) with 56 percent rise from the figure of the same time span in the previous year, Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) announced.

TPO put the country’s weight of saffron exports at 55 tons in the three-month period of this year, showing 52 percent increase compared to the first quarter of the past year.
