There is ‘clear global consensus’ to preserve JCPOA: Zarif

TEHRAN – Foreign Minister Mohammd Javad Zarif said on Friday that there is “clear global consensus on need to take concerted action to preserve JCPOA.”

He made the remarks in a tweet, after meeting with president and foreign minister of Singapore and foreign ministers of China, New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia.

He also referred to his meeting with European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini during which they thoroughly reviewed the actions that the EU should take to “ensure economic benefits to Iranian people” from the JCPOA.

Zarif travelled to Singapore on Wednesday to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and flied back home on Saturday.
