Transfer news: Tractor Sazi drop bombshell
TEHRAN – Tractor Sazi football team have dropped bombshell by signing Iran national football team captains Ashkan Dejagah and Masoud Shojaei.
Dejagah and Shojaei have joined the Iranian team on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The Iranian captains had already refused to join Tractor Sazi but Wednesday night penned their contracts with the Tabriz based football team.
Tractor Sazi have not won Iran Professional League (IPL) so far and are hopeful of ending title drought under Welshman John Toshack.
Dejagah, 32, was under contract with the English second tier Nottingham Forest last season.
The attacking midfielder was a member of Iran football team in the 2018 World Cup but remained an unused substitute due to the injury.
Shojaei, who played for AEK Athens last season, represented Iran national team in the World Cup in their first match against Morocco.
