Bangladeshi producer Ananta Jalil, Farabi director meet in Tehran
TEHRAN – The Bangladeshi actor, director and producer, Ananta Jalil, met Farabi Cinema Foundation director Alireza Tabesh at his office in Tehran on Monday to discuss ways to collaborate with the Iranian foundation.
Jalil talked about his plans for investing in a film on peace in Islam, the foundation announced in a press release.
“It is a great pleasure that you have focused on today’s topic of the world. The world cinema and the cinema of the region need to produce films on such topics,” Tabesh said.
“We are also interested in producing a joint production between Iran and Bangladesh but the first stage is to write a screenplay which satisfies both sides,” he added.
Tabesh also noted that both countries enjoy an extensive population with great fans for cinema, and that the cinema of the two countries can meet the needs of the world and regional markets.
Jalil said that he is planning to make a film that depicts the real Islam to the world.
“I have brought my ideas and thoughts to Iran to make them into a film. Many Muslims suffer in Syria and Yemen while Islam is the religion of peace and friendship,” he added.
He further noted that he is planning to make the entire movie in Iran and portray the beauty of Iran to the world and the people in his homeland.
