Iran’s ambassador meets Armenian PM

TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador to Yerevan, Kazem Sajjadi, has met with the new Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to discuss expansion of mutual ties and other issues, ISNA reported on Saturday.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of following up on bilateral agreements within the framework of Iran-Armenia Joint Economic Committee.

Sajjadi voiced Iran’s readiness to deepen relations with Armenia and stressed the importance of the implementation of joint projects.

Pashinyan also said cooperation between Iran and Armenia should be increased based on mutual interests.
