Iran, Austria discuss cooperation between SMEs

TEHRAN-During a meeting in Tehran, Austria’s ambassador to Iran and managing director of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) conferred on development of cooperation between the two sides’ small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

According to Shata news, in this meeting, the Austrian envoy Stefan Scholz underscored training as well as expansion of exports from small enterprises as of the main cooperation fields between Tehran and Vienna, calling for economic and industrial collaboration between the two countries’ private sectors.

ISIPO Head Sadeq Njafi, for his part, hoped that proper bed would be set for development of mutual cooperation in future and MOUs in various sectors would be signed during Iranian president’s future visit to Austria.

“Small enterprises have a 97-percent-stake in the economy of Austria and we are really eager on taking advantage of the country’s experience for improving Iranian SMEs,” he added.
