TEHRAN- Production of sponge iron in Iran during March 2018 indicates 47 percent growth compared to March 2017, according to Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

IMIDRO announced that 2.13 million tons of sponge iron were produced in March of this year, IRIB news reported.

Meanwhile, production of sponge iron in the world shows 15.1 percent rise in March 2018 compared to March 2017.
