TEHRAN – The Iranian national men’s team defeated Guam 22-15 in their first match at the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2018 on Friday.

The Iranian team consists of Hamed Hosseinzadeh, Mohammad Jamshidi, Masoud Soleymani and Mohammad Torabi will play Indonesia and Australia in Pool B on Saturday.

Team Melli have been scheduled to meet Hong Kong and Samoa on Sunday.

The FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup 2018 is being held at the Nanshan Cultural & Sports Center in Shenzhen, China.

The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and FIBA have signed a four-year contract, which guarantees that Shenzhen will play host to the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup until 2021.
