Albania keen on boosting economic ties with Iran

TEHRAN-Albanian Deputy Foreign Minister Etjen Xhafaj expressed his country’s tendency for expansion of trade ties with Iran, the portal of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) reported.

The deputy minister made the remarks during a Tuesday meeting with ICCIMA Head Gholam-Hossein Shafeie in Albania.

Shafeie, who led a delegation to the southeastern European country, for his part, underlined the significance of improving bilateral economic ties saying that Albania can act as a gateway for Iran into the Balkans.

He named engineering and technical services, infrastructure, medical equipment, health, energy, and small-sized industries as the probable fields of cooperation between the two countries.
