TEHRAN – Ali Akbar Salehi, director of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), has said that the redesigning process of the Arak reactor platform has been finished, as it has received a seal of approval.

The conceptual redesigning of the Arak nuclear reactor has been finished and the Chinese experts have approved that, Salehi said, IRNA reported on Saturday.

A detailed redesigning is currently underway and the Chinese are engaged in examining the section, Salehi explained.

Experts from Iran and China will soon hold negotiations that will be followed by installation of the necessary equipment, he added.
