TEHRAN – The Tehran Times on Saturday announced that a fake Telegram channel has been publishing fake news in its name, saying the daily’s only official Telegram channel can be accessed at @tehrantimes_com.

The announcement came after the Tehran Times was informed that a fake Telegram channel, @tehran_timse, has been spreading propaganda in Farsi.

Mohammad Ghaderi, the editor-in-chief of the Tehran Times, said the daily will follow up on the criminal act through legal channels.
