Online ludo Iran’s most popular game of the year

TEHRAN – “Mencherz”, an online ludo game developed by the Tehran-based studio Incytel, won the audience award at the 7th Tehran Video Game Festival on Saturday.
Top games in various categories were awarded during a ceremony at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall while no game was able to convince the jury to award it for best game of the year, the highest accolade of the event.
A jury composed 20 foreign experts and 15 Iranian game developers judged entries at the 7th edition of the Tehran Video Game Festival, which is organized every year by the National Foundation for Computer Games.
The list of the winners is as follows:
Best strategy game: “Spring Farm” from Yara Mobile studio
Best action game: “Rooster Wars” from Yara Mobile studio
Best simple game: “Amiru, Catch Fish” from the Nautilus studio
Best platform game: “Unsight” from the Sourena Game Studio
Best adventure game: “The Dark Wings 2” from Lexip Games
Best sports game: “GT Speed Club” from King Kode
Best cultural game: “Iran 57” from RSK Entertainment
Best technical achievement: “Amiru, Catch Fish” from the Nautilus studio
Best 3D game: “Khak” from the Gunay Studio
Best 2D game: “Spring Farm” from Yara Mobile studio
Best design: “Unsight” from the Sourena Game Studio
Best music: “Rooster Wars” from Yara Mobile studio
Best sound: “Spring Farm” from Yara Mobile studio
Best story: “Spring Farm” from Yara Mobile studio
