Environmental activists arrested for espionage: Judiciary

TEHRAN – Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i said on Monday that a number of environmental activists have been arrested in recent days on charges of espionage for foreigners.
Mohseni-Eje'i said the individuals were arrested for revealing information on Iran’s sensitive sites to foreign spy services, including those of the Zionist regime and the U.S., ILNA reported.
On suicide of Kavous Seyed-Emami, an environmentalist and sociology professor of Imam Sadiq University, the spokesman said he does not know the details of his suicide, adding that the issue is still under investigation.
