S. Korea’s imports of Iranian oil up 29% in 2017

TEHRAN- South Korea’s imports of Iranian crude oil in 2017 rose 29.1 percent from 2016, customs data showed on Monday.
The country imported 18.07 million tons, or 362,884 barres per day (bpd) of Iranian oil in 2017, versus 14 million tons in 2016, Reuters reported.
South Korea imported 1.08 million tons or 255,081 bpd of oil from Iran in December 2017, the same data indicate.
The country’s imports of Iranian oil dropped 30.6 percent in December from the year before.
South Korea mainly buys condensate from Iran, an ultra-light form of crude.
