Portraits of Iranian sports stars to go on view at Tehran exhibit

TEHRAN – Portraits of 104 Iranian sports stars painted by 100 artists will go on view in an exhibition opening at in Tehran’s Sadabad Cultural-Historical Complex on Friday.

A group of one hundred artists under the supervision of Hiva Pashai have gathered to make the collection, which includes 137 portraits of the renowned athletes, the complex announced on Tuesday.

This is the third collection that has been assembled by Pashai. His first collection covered portraits of celebrated musicians and the second contained portraits of 100 famous Iranian cinema and theater figures.

A number of sports stars, groups of artists and cultural figures have been invited to attend an opening ceremony, which will be organized at Sadabad’s Museum of Fine Arts. 

The exhibit will be running until January 26.
