Iran-U.S. trade at $140m in 9 months

TEHRAN - Trade between Iran and the U.S. stood at $140 million from January to September 2017, according to the latest report released by American Statistical Association (ASA).

The figure shows a decrease of 21 percent, the report added.

Bilateral trade during the first nine months of 2016 hit $177.5 million, it added.

During January-September this year, the U.S. exported $93.3 million of goods to Iran, showing 18 percent drop in comparison with the same time span in 2016, when the figure was more than $115 million.
 
The country’s import from Iran was $46.7 million in the said time, witnessing 25 percent fall from $62.5 million in the same period in 2016.

The Iran-U.S. trade in 2016 totaled $258 million, registering an 11-percent drop from $292.3 million in 2015, according to ASA's previous report.
