Sustained violence in U.S.

November 7, 2017 - 11:47

TEHRAN _ The recent terrorist incident in the state of Texas has been widely reflected in American media. The incident once again revealed how much violence and assassination had been institutionalized in American society.

On the other hand, the president of the United States not only does not oppose the disarmament of his country, he is also a supporter of arms trading inside and outside the United States. Under such circumstances, it is certain that the incident of Texas will not be the last terrorist incident in the United States, and in the future, too, these incidents will be repeated.

As CNN reported, At least 26 people were killed in Sunday's church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott said at a press conference. About 20 others were wounded, said Freeman Martin, a regional director with the Texas Department of Public Safety, with victims ranging in age from 5 to 72 years old.

Among the dead is the 14-year-old daughter of the First Baptist Church's pastor, Frank Pomeroy, according to his wife, Sherri Pomeroy, the girl's mother. The couple were traveling out of state when the shooting occurred. Authorities have not said what may have motivated the suspected shooter, who was later found dead in his vehicle. The shooting has devastated the small Texas town east of San Antonio, described as a place where "everybody knows everybody."

Without naming Kelley, Martin described the shooter in Sunday's press conference as a young white male who was dressed in all-black "tactical-type gear" and wearing a ballistic vest.Martin said the suspect was seen in a Valero gas station across the street from the church in Sutherland Springs at about 11:20 a.m. local time on Sunday morning.

The suspect left the gas station, crossed the street, exited his vehicle and began firing before he entered the church, Martin said. As the suspected shooter left the church, a local resident used their own rifle to engage him, Martin said. The shooter then fled the church, while the citizen pursued him.

After a brief chase, law enforcement later found the suspect dead of a gunshot wound inside his vehicle. A law enforcement official briefed on the investigation said multiple weapons were found in Kelley's car. Authorities said they don't know if the wound was self-inflicted or the result of the resident who fired on the suspect, Martin said. The shooter was killed after a brief chase north into neighboring Guadalupe County, Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Robert Murphy said earlier on Sunday.

Here are some other questions that need to be answered. Indeed, why do not American officials take action on disarmament in this country? Why did not the senators of the two Democratic and Republican parties take an immediate action? The answer to this question is completely transparent! Both Democrat and Republican officials are both supported by the National Arms Association in the United States. This support reaches its peak during the election. Hence, the officials of the two main US parties, Herzog, do not act against the wishes of the National Arms Association.

U.S. President Donald Trump's response to the recent incident in Texas is also plausible!
Donald Trump has blamed Sunday’s deadly mass shooting at a Baptist church in Texas on the mental health of the perpetrator and claimed that gun ownership was not a factor.

Asked during a press conference in Tokyo what policies he would support to tackle mass shootings in the US, the president said: “I think that mental health is a problem here. Based on preliminary reports, this was a very deranged individual with a lot of problems over a very long period of time.“

We have a lot of mental health problems in our country, as do other countries, but this isn’t a guns situation … we could go into it but it’s a little bit soon to go into it. Fortunately somebody else had a gun that was shooting in the opposite direction, otherwise it wouldn’t have been as bad as it was, it would have been much worse.

“This is a mental health problem at the highest level. It’s a very sad event … these are great people at a very, very sad event, but that’s the way I view it.”

Speaking at the end of a two-day visit to Japan, Trump said he sent his “thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences” to the victims of the “horrific assault”

In his words, the president of the United States has not mentioned the issue of confronting the freedom of arms movement in his country. Donald Trump is one of the main advocates of violence and assassination inside and outside the United States. Tramp warring politics in the Middle East and elsewhere on the one hand, and his frequent support for arms lobes in the United States, shows that he basically has no will to confront the terror and violence in his country. Without a doubt, the terrorist incident in Texas will not be the last terrorist event in the United States.

The reaction of the former US president to the recent incident in Texas is also significant. Former President of U.S., Barack Obama    offered condolences after the mass shooting at a Sutherland Springs, Texas, church left at least 26 people dead on Sunday.

"We grieve with all the families in Sutherland Springs harmed by this act of hatred, and we’ll stand with the survivors as they recover," Obama tweeted Sunday evening. "May God also grant all of us the wisdom to ask what concrete steps we can take to reduce the violence and weaponry in our midst," he added.

Obama's remarks were a departure from those of President Donald Trump, who called the shooting an "act of evil," without delving into any discussion about gun violence in particular, which has increasingly become the focus of some lawmakers in the wake of increasingly deadly mass shootings in the US.

While in office, Obama frequently used his remarks on mass shootings to ask lawmakers and citizens to reevaluate their positions on gun control. Calls to take a more meaningful look at current gun laws grew loudest after the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history last month, where nearly 60 people were killed at an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas — and before that, at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, where 49 people died in July last year.

However, as noted, virtually none of the two Democratic and Republican parties have the will to restrict the activity of arms sales lobbies in the United States. The issue that Obama himself faces as the former president of the United States Is aware.
