Iranian fin. min. discusses further economic bonds with French, Danish ministers

TEHRAN- Iranian Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Masoud Karbasian in separate meetings with the French and Danish ministers, on the sidelines of the 2017 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, discussed ways for boosting bilateral ties, Shada news agency reported on Sunday.

In his meeting with the French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, Karbasian voiced Iran’s readiness for boosting relations with France in various fields.

Le Maire, for his turn, underscored French government’s support for Iran’s nuclear deal as well as improvement of bilateral economic ties. 

During Karbasian’s meeting with Danish Development Cooperation Minister Ulla Tornas both sides underlined expansion of mutual economic ties, highlighting the significance of increasing the number of credit lines opened by Danish banks for Iranians. 

Referring to Denmark’s capabilities in the fields of energy, environment, and water resources management, Tornas said that cooperation between the two countries would be beneficial for both sides. She announced her country’s willingness to collaborate with Iran in various sectors as well.
