TEHRAN – Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian woman serving a five-year jail term in Iran, is facing fresh charges that may lead to an additional 16 years in prison, according to her husband.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 38, has been in jail for 18 months for trying to orchestrate a soft overthrow of the Islamic Republic.

Intelligence authorities arrested Zaghari at Imam Khomeini International Airport on April 3 on her way home to London after visiting her parents in Tehran and transferred her to Kerman.
