TEHRAN – General Massoud Jazayeri, the deputy chief of Iran's armed forces, said on Saturday that Iran will enforce stricter controls over its borders with the Iraqi Kurdistan on the request of the central Iraqi government.

“There are some multilateral measures underway and following the official request of the Iraqi government, more strict controls will be enforced on the borders,” Jazayeri was quoted by Mehr as saying.

He also said the independence vote in the Iraqi Kurdistan was a U.S. conspiracy to sabotage the resistance front.
