U.S. exports to Iran more than triple

TEHRAN- Exports of the U.S. to Iran tripled in August, 2017 and reached $34.7 million, compared to the same period in the preceding year when the figure was $10.8 million.

According to the latest report released by American Statistical Association (ASA), imports of U.S. from Iran in August 2017 was $3.5 million, i.e. one fifth of the same month in 2016 when the amount stood at $16.8 million. 
 
Iran-U.S. trade witnessed a 25-percent-drop in the first eight months of 2017 and decreased to $125.6 million, in comparison with the same period in 2016 when the figure stood at $167.3 million, the same report confirmed.

U.S. exports to Iran in the time span, from January to August, 2017, was $82.8 million, showing a decrease of 23 percent year-on-year from its previous $108.5 million in 2016.

Imports of U.S. from Iran in the first eight months of 2017 was $42.8 million, registering 27 percent drop from its previous $58.8 million in the same time in 2016.
