TEHRAN – Turkey's Chief of the General Staff of Armed Forces, Hulusi Akar, will visit Iran next week, the Iranian military announced on Tuesday.

General Akar, who will be accompanied by a high-ranking military delegation, will hold meetings with top Iranian authorities, Mehr reported.

Last month, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, the Iranian armed forces chief of staff, visited Ankara to exchange views with Turkish officials on security issues and campaign against terrorism in view of new developments in the region.
