TEHRAN – German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said diplomacy is the best way to tackle North Korea’s nuclear issue, pointing to the Iran nuclear agreement as the answer for convincing North Korea leader Kim Jong Un to disarm, Bloomberg News reported.

“We must now develop similar activities with an eye on North Korea,” Merkel said on Saturday. The rocket tests should “spur us further to move forward with disarmament efforts,” she added.

Germany is signatory to a 2015 deal to curb Tehran’s nuclear program.
