Tehran museum to showcase Persian carpet designs

TEHRAN – An exhibition opening today at the Carpet Museum of Iran will hang carpet designs by Iranian artist Mohammad-Hossein Najafzadeh.
Najafzadeh, also known as Benam in his hometown of Tabriz, one of Iran’s major carpet centers, is famous for his numerous groundbreaking designs.
A number of workshops on Persian carpet will be also held on the sidelines of the exhibition by carpet experts Javad Golestani and Mehdi Laziri.
The exhibition will continue until September 21 at the museum located on North Kargar Street near Laleh Park in Tehran.
