TEHRAN – Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli has said the new mayors and governors will officially begin term of office by the end of the [Persian] month of Shahrivar (September 22).

Speaking to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN), Rahmani Fazli said the Interior Ministry aims to have very little replacements.

He also said the appointed governors must champion the Rouhani administration’s plans and policies, and also follow a moderate approach in their job.
