TEHRAN – In a ceremony on Thursday, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will officially authorize President Hassan Rouhani to take office for a second term, the IRIB reported.

Rouhani’s swearing-in ceremony will be held in the parliament on Saturday.

Mohsen Haji Mirzaee, secretary of the cabinet, said on Monday that Tehran will be off on Saturday due to large number of foreign officials attending the inauguration ceremony.

Rouhani will then have two weeks to submit his new cabinet to the parliament for a vote of confidence.
