Luxembourg ready for co-op with Iran in ICT, construction
TEHRAN – The Chairman of Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce said his country is ready to cooperate with Iran in the fields of information and communication technology (ICT) and also construction.
Carlo Thelen made the remarks in a meeting with Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Chairman Gholam-Hossein Shafeie in Luxembourg, ICCIMA portal reported.
Thelen also emphasized the need for expansion of trade ties between the two countries, saying “We hope the exchange of delegations between the two sides pushes the economic relations to a higher level as both sides expect.”
Iranian official for his part stressed the importance of economic relations noting that good trade relations will pave the way for better political relations.
Shafeie also pointed to some of the potential areas for cooperation and said the level of trade between the two sides should grow to a higher level.
ICCIMA’s chairman who visited the European country heading a 35-member trade delegation also attended an Iran-Luxembourg business forum which was held on Friday.
A high-ranking Luxembourgian trade delegation visited Iran in April and Iranian delegation’s visit aimed to follow up on the discussed subjects as well.
